The work you did on my wedding dress to make it fit me was beyond belief.  On the cruise ship when people saw us taking pictures after the wedding, everyone said first and foremost that my dress was gorgeous.  This dress was purchased almost 10 years ago and hung in my parlor until I brought it to you to make it my size.  The way you cleaned it and added material made it look so much more beautiful than I could have ever imagined.

THANK YOU so much for making my dress go from "nearly ruined" to gorgeous!!! I had taken my dress to another alterations place, and I slowly began to realize that they had no idea what they were doing. My dress fit so lumpy on my body; I was so upset. It looked so bad that I was positive I was going to need a new dress. I immediately went home and looked online for alteration places in the Indianapolis area, and I came across The Perfect Stitch. It had great reviews, and I was a month away from my wedding, so I took my dress to Melissa... and the end result is BEAUTIFUL!!!! Not only is the craftsmanship fabulous, but Melissa and Susan are so sweet, so down to earth, and so helpful. They truly listen to your concerns and make you feel like you are being heard. I walked into a little store on the south side of town at the end of my rope ready to give up on finding the perfect wedding dress. When across the room I heard a angel say we have a dress for you lets look around. She then showed me a few dresses never once telling me that i was too big they don't have my size like the larger chain stores did. Not once did they turn their faces up at me or even look down their noses at me. Out came Melissa and the dress of my dreams. She made that my dress and it fit like a dream that will be a memory that I will never forget as long as I live. I am so grateful to God for you ladies and I have bragged on the job that you all have done from your customer service to your family atmosphere I am so happy that I met you and I will never ever forget all that you have done for me from working with me when i slept through appointments to putting straps on my dress at the last second.  Katie did great in her 1st horse show ever!! She placed 1st!!! That vest had to of had something to do with it!! It was freezing in that arena. and she couldn’t have been more proud to sport her new outfit!! Attached are some pics from the show, please feel free to use them to help support your shop. I got married April 19th in Las Vegas and I went to The Perfect Stitch to have my wedding dress made. I also had Melissa make me a dress for my reception the following weekend that was held in Indiana. Both of my dresses are gorgeous!! My wedding dress was exactly how I wanted it, it fit perfectly, and I got a special bonus! When I went to pick up my dress I was told that some of the beads used on my dress came from a dress that was worn by Diana Ross, which was hand made by Bob Mackie! She also make me a beautiful veil and even offered to fix my rhinestone necklace when we found that some of the rhinestones were missing. Both Susan and Melissa were very helpful and so much fun to work with. They put my nerves at ease when I would get nervous or anxious about the process. They ran into a few snags along the way and handled them beautifully and had everything ready when I needed them. I would highly suggest anyone who wants personalized service from someone who honestly cares about you and your needs. Melissa is an amazing seamstress!! I live out of state, but heard such good things about her making custom wedding gowns. I took her a picture of a doll that had my dream wedding dress. She took my measurements on the first visit, had me try on only the bodice before it was put together on the second visit, & on the third visit, my dress was done & fit like a glove exactly like the picture I took her! I'm 5'1" and all I can say is my wedding gown was not! Not everyone is 5'9" right ladies!?!  So I have had crazy issues with finding a seamstress to alter my gown without removing all the beautiful detail at the bottom of my dress.  (why on earth would any bride let a seamstress cute off the bottom detail layers or bead work just to shorten a gown; there has to be another option)  I had gone to 4 other ladies and they all said sorry we can't help you out, unless I cute off layers on your dress. That was just not an option for me!!  So FINALLY my mother found The Perfect Stitch and call for more info.  That's when we meet Susan and she told us about this AMAZING seamstress working right there next to her!  She said that she could do anything and everything we could possible imagine.  So I booked an appointment and put her to the test.   When I arrived to the small, very stylish boutique there was the two most sweetest ladies there to greet me with a friendly smile.  I showed the girls my dress and told them how I needed it fixed in 3 weeks for my wedding day, she looked at me and said okay lets do it!  She really knew what she was doing and I was so thankful, I had almost lost hope.  

She made my dress everything that I had hope it would be!  She made my dress a sweatheart neck line, took out the side zipper and put in a corset back, a detachable train to make my dress tea length for the reception, and shortend it without cutting off any ruffled layers!!  If I ever needed anything altered again I would go directly to The Perfect Stitch!  =)

I am a graduating student at Ball State and I did my summer internship this summer at The Perfect Stitch for my apparel design degree. Before starting my internship I was not very confident in my sewing abilities at all, and I knew I was not ready to start my career yet. Melissa is a true sew-goddess, she taught me more about sewing than my schooling did. She taught me all I wanted to learn and even more. While I was there I constructed a wedding dress, which I am very proud of, and another dress of my design that I just love. I am so grateful that they took me in and taught me, because now I am very confident in my abilities and ready to start my career. Both Melissa and Susan are wonderful, passionate people that care about they do. Melissa can make any dress you can dream of and both are dedicated to getting it done perfectly for the customer. My time spent there was very enjoyable, and I loved every moment of it. Thank you Susan and Melissa for everything!
